Detail Itinerary
Day 1 : Jammu - Katra - (2 hrs)
Pickup from Jammu Railway Station/ Airport, and drive to Katra,
Evening check in Hotel and Rest, After Dinner proceed to
Vaishnodevi Shrine (Approx. 13 km Trek ) One can trek up to
the Shrine if fitness permits, otherwise Pony or Palanquins
are also available at an extra cost. Arrive at Vaishnodevi
Bhawan. Wash and change before Mata Darshan. After Mata
Vaishnodevi Darshan, proceed for Bhaironji Darshan (Optional).
One of the most popular pilgrim centres in the world, the holy
shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi is set in the foothills of the
Trikuta Mountains in Jammu. Here, the Bhawan houses the
sanctum sanctorum or the holy cave where the goddess
manifested herself in the form of natural rock formations,
known as the three Holy Pindies. Visited by millions of
pilgrims every year, the Mother Goddess is believed to fulfil
whatever her devotees wish for.
The Spiritual Yatra
To reach the shrine, one has to obtain a Yatra Parchi from one
of the registration counters and embark on a trek of about
13km from Katra. Most devotees walk both ways, some prefer to
ride a pony, while palanquins are also available for the sick
and elderly. A helicopter service operates from Katra to
Sanjhichatt, from where the shrine is just 2.5 kilometers.
Day 2 : Katra
After Darshan Morning back to Hotel and full day rest in
Hotel.
Day 3 : Katra - Srinagar (6 - 7 hrs)
After breakfast proceed to Drive Srinagar, on arrival in
Srinagar Check-in at House Boats, after fresh up visit to Dal
Lake and 1 hrs Sikara Ride on Dal Lake, after sightseeing back
to Houseboat / Hotel and overnight stay.
Day 4 : Srinagar - Sightseeing
After breakfast full Day Srinagar Sightseeing (Mughal Garden,
Salimar Garden, Nishat Garden and Shankra chariya temple)
and evening back to Houseboat . Over night stay at houseboat.
The Mughal Gardens in Srinagar comprise of Nishat Bagh,
Shalimar Bagh, Chashme Shahi, Pari Mahal, Achabal and Verinag
Garden. The grandeur of the gardens is dedicated to Emperor
Jahangir who always had an undying love for Kashmir. Jahangir
was responsible for the selection of the site and planning the
requirements of the paradise gardens. It is always a lot of
fun in exploring the history behind these gardens. They follow
a Persian style of architecture and have been influenced by
the Persian gardens. Some typical features of Mughal Gardens
which are a treat for its visitors include canals, pools and
fountains.
Day 5 : Srinagar - Sonamarg - Srinagar (3 hrs)
After breakfast Drive to Sonamarg, and full day excursion of
Sonmarg which is one of the most beautiful drive from Srinagar.
Sonmarg also called Meadow of Gold is located at a height of
2690 meters. You may take a pony ride (at your own cost) to
Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year. Return to
the houseboat/hotel by evening for overnight stay.
Sonamarg or Sonmarg, to be found at a substantial elevation of
2,740 m upstairs sea level, accurately means 'Meadow of Gold'.
The charming likely exquisiteness of the area got this title
to Sonamarg. Sonamarg, a town bounded by magnificent glaciers
and peaceful lakes in Sonamarg, is a snow shielded
good-looking flower burdened the meadow in the stately
Himalayan mountain area. Sonamarg in the Kashmir valley is the
entryway to Ladakh and placed just previously the Zojii La
pass. Set at 87 km from Srinagar, the location is celebrated

Day 6 : Srinagar - Gulmarg ( 2 hours)
After Breakfast Drive to Gulmarg (2440 Meters above Sea level)
- it is one of the most beautiful hill station in this world
and also called meadows of flower. It has world highest golf
course and Gulmarg is also famous for winter sports skiing
etc. On arrival, Gulmarg check-in to your Hotel .Afternoon
enjoy guided sightseeing of Gulmarg also enjoy Gondola ride
(Cable car, own cost) from Gulmarg to Khilan. Overnight Stay
in Hotel ( Gulmarg.)
Gulmarg, the meadow of flowers, can rightly be called the
crown of Kashmir. An ideal picnic spot, Gulmarg is always fun
to visit. Taking its pride of place is the Gulmarg Gondola,
which is Asia's largest cable car project. Adorned with many
spectacles of nature, Gulmarg receives visitors with open
arms. As winterapproaches, Gulmarg converts into an idyllic
skiing resort. Apparwath, Kongdori and Shark Fin, which offer
good opportunity for powder skiing are some important tourist
places in Gulmarg
Day 7 : Gulmarg - Pahalgam (5 hours).
After breakfast transfer by car to Pahalgam On arrival
check-in to the hotel. After lunch time free at leisure or you
may go for walks or pony ride to one of the many beautiful
spots around Pahalgam. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Pahalgam is a beautiful small village in the Anantnag district
of Jammu and Kashmir. Surrounded by steep hills and a white
river transferring the valley makes Pahalgam the most craving
tourist destination. From here you can gaze by the snow peaked
mountains at the distance. This a photographer's hub from
where you can capture the beautiful moments of the nature. It
is also one of Bollywood's most desired shooting destination
Day 8 : Pahalgam / Jammu (6 - 7 hours)
After Breakfast checkout hotel and driver back to Jammu,
Evening Drop to the Jammu airport / Railway Station. for
departure to next destination.
